Then, click File in the top menu bar and click Options shown in the lower left corner. Or you may need to click More to display more options. This will open the Excel Options pane. For your information, if you have used Word or PowerPoint, the same steps open Word Options or PowerPoint Options, respectively.
Then in the Options window, you need to switch to the tab Trust Center in the left pane and then click the button Trust Center Settings in the right pane.
Next in the Trust Center window, switch to the tab Trusted Add-in Catalogs in the left pane. Here you can find the section named Trusted Web Add-in Catalogs in the right pane. In this section, you can see options Next time Office starts, clear all previously-started web add-ins cache.
To clear the cache of web add-ins, you need give a checklist on options Next time Office starts, clear all previously-started web add-ins cache this and click OK to save changes.
After performing the steps above, it will clear the cache of web add-ins every time you restart any Office application, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and others. However, if you don’t want to clear the cache, you can open the same Trust Center window and uncheck the option for each Office application.
How to clear cache in PowerPoint?
There is no direct option to clear cache in PowerPoint. However, if you want to clear cache files that are stuck while uploading, then you need to use the Repair option. This option appears when an upload crashes on your computer in the Upload Center.
